Sophie Bjork-James is a post-doctoral fellow in the Anthropology Department at Vanderbilt University. She is currently working on a book manuscript tentatively titled, Sacred Hierarchies: Race, Respectability, and the Evangelical Family, which investigates the role of the family in shaping lived evangelicalism. Her earlier research focused on the contemporary white supremacist movement. Her research interests include nationalist movements, environmental politics, gender and sexuality, and critical race theory.
