Presented in collaboration with the Eos Project and Environmental and Sustainability Studies.
Presented and organized by Carolyn Taratko and J’Nese Williams (Eos Fellows, History Department)

Director Agnès Varda, pioneer of New Wave cinema, creates an intimate portrait of people who gather left-over things – crops left after harvest, abandoned household goods, discarded food. Her study of gleaners, both urban and rural, is ultimately an exploration of waste, want, and changing French values.

Director Agnès Varda. French with English subtitles. Unrated. 82 minutes. DVD.
